Reinforced tools are made simply by adding gold to flat iron tools.

 And you can even make advanced tools by combining gold and precious stone to make Small Precious Alloys. The advanced tools are more powerful than gemstone and won't break.


 You merely need to recharge them with one of the new coals by shift-clicking while retaining them. Just add the coal in the bottom slot as well as your tool is ready to use again.

A new and useful tool added with this mod is the Car Stone Builder. It'll auto-smelt stone blocks on the fly if you add them in the GUI (shift+click).

And finally you can craft Obsidian picks that are double the strength of diamond picks but it comes at a cost with both time and resources. You'll need to make 3 compressed obsidian blocks, polish them, build them into a pickaxe mind, smelt that with an entire stop of coal, and then put together with two sticks.
